Performer

I recently took on the captivating role of Alternate Narrator in Passing Strange at Young Vic following starring as Donkey in the UK Tour of Shrek The Musical. My previous theatre credits include starring as Jimmy Early in Sonia Friedman Productions’ dazzling soul sensation, Dreamgirls the Musical; as well as the original West End productions of Be More Chill (Shaftesbury); Come From Away (Phoenix); Heathers (Theatre Royal Haymarket); Motown the Musical (Shaftesbury); and On the Town (Regents Park).

Television and Film includes: Artemis Fowl and Cinderella (Disney); Marriage of Reason and Squalor (Sky Arts); Greta (Metropolitan Films).

Other credits include: Dirty Dancing (UK tour); My Fair Lady; Guys and Dolls; Hamlet; King Lear; Much Ado About Nothing; Meet Me in St Louis; Othello (New Harmony Theatre) and productions with The Milwaukee Ballet, Nashville Ballet and Ballet Soul..

The star of the show is Donkey, played by Brandon Lee Sears. He’s just hilarious and provides a lot of the comedy moments. And boy can he sing!

Brandon Lee Sears in the role of Jimmy Early highlighted moments both comedy and poignant - the audience sat up in their seats every time Sears came on stage. Sears is an all-singing, all-dancing, all-acting superstar and he lights up the stage in any production you find him in.

Brandon lights up any room he walks in to and whilst being a true, serious professional, he is very personable, down-to-earth and an eternal optimist, a pleasure to be around in every context.  Not just did he inspire our talented young people, he has inspired all staff and volunteers alike. Any organisation, school or community group would truly be blessed to work with such a talented man and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
